Finalizing in DocuSign

Finalize in DocuSign is a feature that allows you to open the envelope inside the DocuSign console. This allows you to use a wider range of functionality provided by DocuSign. One of these features is access to standard DocuSign tags, which can be dragged and dropped onto the document. If this button is not visible, contact your system admin to enable this button in DocuSign System Properties.

If you have not specified an email subject and body for a recipient in DocuSign Recipient, then the email subject and body defined at the envelope level, on the Additional Details screen, will be displayed on Finalize in DocuSign page. For detailed information on which email subject and email body are displayed on the Finalize in DocuSign page, refer to the Use Case given below.

Sam wants to send a document for eSignature to Rex Klenney, George Naran, and Michael Ceballos. Sam has added them as recipients and the following configurations have been done.

To use DocuSign console

  1. Click Finalize In DocuSign.

    This opens the documents inside the DocuSign Console.

  2. You can drag and drop the required tags on your document.


  3. If you have more than one recipient, and you want to associate a tag with a recipient; click on the recipient's name and drag the appropriate tag to the appropriate place.
  4. If you want to access any specific page of the agreement, you can quickly scroll through the agreement from the right-side pane of the window named DOCUMENTS.
  5. If you want to set the notifications and an expiration period on your agreement, click Actions.
  6. Click Advanced Options.
  7. If you want to set a reminder, select Send automatic reminders checkbox and enter days for which you want to remind your recipient.
  8. If you want to set an expiration date for the agreement, enter the number of days in the text box under Expiration.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Click Send to send the document for signature.
